Home Office Issues Guidance on New Temporary Off-Sales Permissions

As previously reported, the relaxation of pavement cafes applications and automatic provision of off-sales originally arising from the Business & Planning Act 2020 have now been extended to 30th September 2022.

Originally due to expire today (30th September 2021) the relaxations and off-sale provisions will now run for a further year, in response the Home Office has today updated their guidance on the issue to reflect the extension. The guidance includes a number of FAQs but does stress that the relaxations are temporary in nature and will expire next Autumn.
